Mary Beth Anthony
As the daughter of a carpenter, Mary Beth was raised in the Midwest on hard work, faith and music. She follows a family line of professional musicians, ranging from an operatic singer to a rock drummer. She grew up with a love for dance, music, theater and rhetoric. Mary Beth is no stranger to the stage. She began performing in dance at the age of four and later became a dance instructor and performer. Mary Beth's background in dance and theater were a precursor to the commercial and print work that were to follow per the suggestion of a modeling agent. While working in these areas of the arts, she maintained her passion for music.
After graduating college, the entertainment industry brought Mary Beth to Los Angeles where she worked in commercials and film. However, soon after moving to the California, Mary Beth was encouraged by a fellow industry professional to follow her voice and pursue music. She took great stock in this advice and began her journey towards working in the music profession. She advanced in several radio vocal contests, including the second round of Nashville Star. This prompted her to form a successful Country band. The band played Country Music venues throughout mid and southern California. After playing on the west coast for a number of years, Mary Beth was further encouraged by in an invitation to move to Nashville.
Mary Beth has trained vocally with the late Michael Galloway (who often worked with Seth Riggs.) She has played numerous venues, ranging from quaint clubs to festivals to large auditoriums. Mary Beth has enjoyed being on local TV and radio interviews. In addition, she was thrilled to have her original music played on Country radio. She is also fortunate and thankful to have been backed by musicians who have played with Dwight Yoakam, Loretta Lynn, Chris Young, Jake Owen, Deana Carter and Cher, among others. She enjoys many genres of music in addition to Country music, including Classical, R&B/Soul, Rock and much more.
In addition to her love for music, she has a heart for the homeless, for our military veterans and their families and for victims of domestic violence. She has performed concerts for these causes. Mary Beth resides in Nashville where she continues to sing and write music.
